Mary: Ark of the New Covenant

This holy art piece is an enormous Monstrance, the vessel used in a Church to display the consecrated Eucharistic. The word monstrance comes from the Latin word monstrare, meaning "to expose".

On this exceptional holy Feast Day, let us imagine that we receive from this gigantic carved from linden wood most holy structure, standing at nine feet tall and weighing in at 700 pounds. 

Immediately we are transported to the empty tomb of Jesus, where we will walk with Mary Magdalene into Sophia's inner chamber, where she sees the two angelic cherubim sitting at either end of where the body of Jesus had lain, where Peter can only see discarded clothes. Recently there has been a discovery of a gospel describing in more detail what she 'actually' saw that day,  determining how Mary was destined to be the first pope! It was no accident that She was the first to see Him! 

Mary is the Tabernacle of Sophia. She is the word of God in the flesh, the bread of life streaming down from heaven who houses the actual and eternal High Priest. Anyone who walks with her - has access to this Truth.
